EIA & Clearances
EIA & Environmental Clearances
Large projects need an Environmental Impact Assessment and clearance from the MoEFCC or State authority before construction can start. We scope the study, coordinate accredited consultants, run public hearings and shepherd the file through the committee.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study
An EIA study is the scientific backbone of your Environmental Clearance: one season of baseline data, impact prediction and an Environment Management Plan, prepared under Terms of Reference issued by the MoEFCC or SEIAA. We scope the study, run the monitoring through NABL-accredited laboratories and coordinate the NABET/QCI-accredited consultant so the report survives scrutiny at the Expert Appraisal Committee.
- Starting price
- From ₹2,50,000
- Turnaround
- 120–240 working days
Environmental Clearance (EC)
Prior Environmental Clearance is the statutory permission for any project listed in the EIA Notification, 2006 before construction or expansion begins. Whether your project is appraised centrally by the MoEFCC or by your State authority, we prepare the application on PARIVESH, present it to the committee, respond to each query and track the clearance until the letter is issued and conditions are mapped for compliance.
- Starting price
- From ₹3,00,000
- Turnaround
- 90–240 working days
Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Clearance
Any construction or activity within the Coastal Regulation Zone — generally 500 m landward of the High Tide Line and along tidal water bodies — needs CRZ clearance under the CRZ Notification, 2019. We obtain the HTL/LTL demarcation and CRZ map from an authorised agency, prepare the application and take it through the State Coastal Zone Management Authority to the MoEFCC or State authority for clearance.
- Starting price
- From ₹1,25,000
- Turnaround
- 90–180 working days
Groundwater Abstraction NOC (CGWA)
Industries, infrastructure projects and mines that draw groundwater through borewells or tubewells need a No Objection Certificate from the Central Ground Water Authority or the State Ground Water Authority. We assess the status of your assessment unit, prepare the application on the NOCAP portal with the hydrogeological report, metering and recharge plan, and manage compliance conditions and renewals.
- Starting price
- From ₹30,000
- Turnaround
- 45–90 working days
Wildlife Clearance (NBWL)
Projects located inside a National Park or Wildlife Sanctuary, within its notified Eco-Sensitive Zone, or within 10 km of its boundary where no ESZ has been notified, need the recommendation of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife. We prepare the proposal with the Chief Wildlife Warden, design the wildlife conservation and mitigation plan, and take it through the State Board for Wildlife to the NBWL on PARIVESH.
- Starting price
- From ₹1,00,000
- Turnaround
- 120–300 working days
Common questions
EIA & Clearances, explained
Does MYDA Group prepare the EIA report itself?
EIA reports must be prepared by a consultant accredited by NABET under QCI for the relevant sector. We act as your project manager: we scope the study, engage and coordinate the accredited consultant and NABL laboratories, review every chapter for defensibility, and represent the proposal before the committee.
Do I need an EC if I already have a Consent to Establish from the SPCB?
Yes, if your project falls in the Schedule to the EIA Notification, 2006. CTE under the Water and Air Acts and EC under the EP Act are separate permissions; for scheduled projects, the SPCB generally insists on the EC before or alongside the CTE, and the EC conditions are carried into the consent.
What is the No Development Zone under CRZ 2019?
In CRZ-III areas, the NDZ is 50 m from the HTL for CRZ-IIIA (densely populated rural areas with population density above 2,161 per sq km per the 2011 Census) and 200 m from the HTL for CRZ-IIIB. In CRZ-II urban areas, construction is permitted on the landward side of existing roads or authorised structures as per the local Town and Country Planning norms.
Who is exempt from a groundwater NOC under the 2020 guidelines?
Individual domestic users, rural drinking water schemes, agricultural users, armed forces and defence establishments, and MSMEs drawing less than 10 m³ per day are exempt from the NOC requirement, though some must still register. Commercial, industrial, infrastructure and mining users need an NOC regardless of location.
Does the 10 km rule still apply after the Supreme Court's 2022 and 2023 ESZ orders?
Where an Eco-Sensitive Zone has been notified for a protected area, the ESZ boundary and its notified activity regime govern, and projects within it need NBWL consideration as per the notification. Where no ESZ is notified, the default position following the Goa Foundation order and the 2011 guidelines is that projects within 10 km of the boundary require NBWL Standing Committee recommendation. The Supreme Court's 2023 order modified its earlier blanket 1 km ESZ direction, but did not dilute the requirement to obtain NBWL recommendation where applicable.
