EPR Registration
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
If you manufacture, import or sell products in plastic packaging, electronics, batteries, tyres or lubricants, you are a Producer, Importer or Brand Owner under Indian law. We register you, set your targets and keep your annual returns and EPR credits in order.

Plastic Waste EPR Registration
Every Producer, Importer and Brand Owner (PIBO) that puts plastic packaging on the Indian market must register on the CPCB centralised EPR portal, declare packaging by category and meet annual recycling, reuse, recycled-content and end-of-life targets. We register you correctly, structure your packaging data and build a certificate-procurement plan so you meet your targets without overpaying.
- Starting price
- From ₹15,000
- Turnaround
- 15–45 working days
E-Waste EPR Registration
Producers of electrical and electronic equipment — manufacturers, importers and brands selling under their own name — must register on the CPCB e-waste EPR portal, meet annual recycling targets through EPR certificates and comply with RoHS limits on hazardous substances. We handle registration for all 106 notified EEE items, set up your target tracking and keep quarterly and annual returns current.
- Starting price
- From ₹15,000
- Turnaround
- 15–45 working days
Battery Waste EPR Registration
The Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 make every producer of batteries — whether sold as a battery or inside a product — responsible for collecting and recycling them through EPR certificates, with recycled-content mandates kicking in from FY 2027–28. We register you on the CPCB battery EPR portal, map your battery chemistries and types and plan your certificate procurement.
- Starting price
- From ₹20,000
- Turnaround
- 15–45 working days
Waste Tyre EPR Registration
Since FY 2022–23 producers of new tyres and importers of waste tyres have EPR obligations under Schedule IX of the Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, with the recycling target reaching 100% of the tyres placed on the market two years earlier. We register you on the CPCB waste-tyre EPR portal, reconcile your production and import data and source certificates from registered recyclers.
- Starting price
- From ₹25,000
- Turnaround
- 15–40 working days
Used Oil EPR Registration
From 1 April 2024, manufacturers and importers of base oil and lubrication oil are producers under Schedule X of the Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules and must meet rising used-oil collection and re-refining targets through EPR certificates. We register you on the CPCB used-oil EPR portal, compute your target from placed-on-market data and connect you with registered re-refiners and collection agents.
- Starting price
- From ₹25,000
- Turnaround
- 15–40 working days
EPR Annual Returns & Credit Procurement
Registration is only the start of EPR. Each year you must report what you placed on the market, buy EPR certificates to cover your targets and file quarterly and annual returns on the plastic, e-waste, battery, tyre and used-oil portals. We run that cycle for you — data reconciliation, certificate due diligence and negotiation, return filing and audit-ready records.
- Starting price
- From ₹12,000
- Turnaround
- 5–20 working days
Plastic Waste Processor Registration
Plastic recyclers, cement kilns co-processing plastic, waste-to-energy and waste-to-oil plants, road contractors and industrial composters can register as Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) on the CPCB EPR portal and generate EPR certificates that brands must buy. We secure your SPCB registration under Rule 13, verify your capacity and get you onboarded so your processed tonnage becomes revenue.
- Starting price
- From ₹25,000
- Turnaround
- 20–60 working days
Common questions
EPR Registration, explained
Who is a Brand Owner versus a Producer under the PWM Rules?
A Brand Owner sells a commodity under a registered brand label; a Producer manufactures plastic packaging or uses it to pack its own products; an Importer brings in packaged goods or packaging. A single company can be all three — for example a brand that imports some SKUs and contract-manufactures others. The classification decides whose packaging counts towards whose target.
What are the e-waste recycling targets?
Under Schedule III the target was 60% of the EEE placed on the market in the relevant past year (based on the product's average life) for FY 2023–24 and 2024–25, rising to 70% for 2025–26 and 2026–27 and 80% from 2027–28. The average-life formula means your target depends on sales several years ago, so accurate historical data is essential.
We only sell gadgets with batteries inside. Are we a battery Producer?
Yes. The Rules define a Producer to include anyone who sells batteries, including batteries embedded in equipment, under their own brand. Your battery EPR obligation sits alongside your e-waste EPR obligation for the same product, and the two registrations have to be consistent.
How are the tyre EPR targets structured?
The target was 35% of tyres manufactured or imported in FY 2020–21 for 2022–23, 70% of the 2021–22 quantity for 2023–24, and 100% of the quantity from two years earlier (Y-2) from 2024–25 onward. Importers of waste tyres must meet 100% of the imported quantity in the same year.
What are the used-oil EPR targets?
Schedule X sets the collection and recycling target at 10% of the base oil and lubricating oil placed on the market for FY 2024–25, rising by ten percentage points each year through the decade. Because the trajectory is steep, producers who build re-refiner relationships early will find certificates easier to secure.
What is an EPR certificate or credit?
It is a portal-generated unit representing a quantity of waste recycled or otherwise processed by a registered recycler or processor, which a producer buys and surrenders against its target. Certificates are category- and material-specific, so a flexible plastic certificate cannot cover a rigid plastic target.
