Investors, lenders, large customers and SEBI now expect companies to show how environmental, social and governance risks are managed — not just described. We run a structured materiality assessment, benchmark you against peers and frameworks such as GRI, ISSB and BRSR, and deliver a 3-year ESG roadmap with targets, governance and a data architecture that makes every later disclosure easier.
Legal basis: Voluntary and market-driven frameworks: GRI Universal Standards 2021, IFRS S1 and S2 (ISSB), TCFD recommendations and the National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC), 2019; mandatory disclosure follows through SEBI BRSR for listed companies

How we get it done
- 1
Baseline and gap assessment
Week 1–2We review existing policies, data and disclosures against GRI, BRSR and ISSB expectations and the ESG rating methodologies that matter to your investors and customers.
- 2
Stakeholder engagement and materiality
Week 2–5Structured interviews and surveys with management, investors, customers, employees and community representatives, scored into a double-materiality matrix of financial and impact significance.
- 3
Peer benchmarking
Week 4–6Your performance and disclosure maturity are benchmarked against Indian and global peers to set credible, ambitious targets.
- 4
Strategy, targets and governance
Week 6–8We define the ESG pillars, 3-year targets and KPIs, the governance structure (board oversight, ESG committee, owners) and the policy suite required.
- 5
Roadmap and data architecture
Week 8–10A phased implementation roadmap with data collection templates, roles and a reporting calendar is handed over, with a board presentation to secure sign-off.
If you don’t comply
ESG strategy is not itself a statutory requirement, but the absence of one shows up quickly: weak or inconsistent disclosures in BRSR, poor ESG ratings that raise cost of capital, lost tenders with customers that screen suppliers on sustainability, and governance findings during due diligence. For listed companies, inaccurate ESG disclosures made without a strategy and data trail carry enforcement risk under the SEBI LODR Regulations.

Frequently asked questions
What is a materiality assessment and why does it come first?
Materiality identifies the ESG topics that genuinely matter to your business and stakeholders — for example water stress for a textile mill or product safety for a pharma company — so that effort and disclosure focus on them. GRI, ISSB and BRSR all expect you to explain how material issues were identified, and a documented assessment is the foundation for every later report.
Which framework should an Indian company follow?
Listed companies must follow SEBI's BRSR format, which is built on the NGRBC principles. Beyond that, GRI remains the most widely used for impact reporting, while ISSB's IFRS S1 and S2 are increasingly expected by global investors for financially material sustainability and climate information. We design the strategy so one data set feeds all three without duplication.
How is ESG different from CSR?
CSR under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 is about spending 2 percent of average net profit on social projects. ESG is about how the business itself is run — its emissions, resource use, labour practices, supply chain, board governance and risk management — and how those factors affect enterprise value. A company can be fully CSR-compliant and still score poorly on ESG.
We are not listed. Do we really need this?
Increasingly, yes. Large listed customers must report on their value chain under BRSR Core, banks and PE investors apply ESG screens, and export customers in Europe face the CSRD and supply-chain due diligence rules that flow down to Indian suppliers. Starting early with a proportionate strategy is far cheaper than responding to each questionnaire ad hoc.
